Notes

Our Merlot is plush with a smooth palate of plum and dark berry fruits.

Vineyard

Hunter Valley - fruit is sourced from our estate grown vineyards. Parcels are selected for their distinct fruit qualities and resounding drinkability.

Vintage

Hunter Valley - an exceptional vintage contrary to early reports. Few days above 40 degrees this year as well as very cool nights and morning which have allowed the reds to develop sensational colour, tannin length and overall fruitfulness.

Winemaking

Selectively harvested at night, the grapes were then de-stemmed through the must chiller into a small open fermenter. Ferment was plunged twice a day and the resulting wine was pressed off skins into French oak barrels. Matured in a mixture of new and old oak before being blended into tank, filtered and bottled.
